Anouk

Geraets

Anouk Geraets is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Centre for Childhood and Youth Research in the Department of Social Science.

Anouk studied at the Erasmus University Rotterdam, were she received her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology (cum laude). After her graduation in 2012, she has worked as Research Coordinator for the Generation R Study within the Radiology Department of the Erasmus Medical Centre Rotterdam and as Psychologist in the Hague. In 2015, Anouk moved to Kenya to work as a Researcher in the field of sexual violence. In 2017, she started her PhD about biological causes of depression within the Department of Psychiatry and Neuropsychology and the Department of Internal Medicine of Maastricht University.

Since 2021, Anouk is part of the Luxembourg team of the Health Behavior in School-Aged Children (HBSC) Study, an international collaborative study. Her main research interests are public health, adolescent’s health, mental health, and epidemiology.
