Tkalec

Igor Tkalec is a doctoral researcher at the Institute of Political Science and Doctoral Training Unit in Multi-level regulatory enforcement systems (DTU REMS).

He obtained summa cum laude bachelor's degree  from the University of Zagreb and with merit master's degree both in political science from the Central European University. His academic interests intersect international political economy, social policy, EU goveranance and reserach methodology. In his doctoral work, he examines EU macroeconomic policy coordiantion under the European Semester and its effects on social outocmes by focusing on pension policy.

He has also been a participant in the Europaeum Scholars Programme investigating energy poverty in the EU.
