Koku Gnatuloma NONOA, Dr., is currently a postdoctoral researcher and member of the Steering Committee “Master Theaterwissenschaft und Interkulturalität” at the Institute of German Studies and holder of the “Industrial Fellowship / Public-private research collaborations” of FNR in collaboration with the University of Luxembourg and COOPERATIONS Entreprises socio-culturelles.

His expertise and his main interests are embedded in intercultural/transcultural theatre and performing arts combining research/theory and practice:

  • Theories and forms of ""pre-dramatic""/dramatic/post-dramatic theatre in Europa and Africa
  • Postdramatic theatre and Middle Ages’ religious plays
  • Religion/Rituality, performativity and transculturality in contemporary theatre
  • Critical migration research and borders in contemporary theatre
  • Contemporary art/theatre and institutional critique

He has also a strong practical and professional experience in theatre and performances arts projects as stage director, actor/performer and production assistant in Africa and Europe.
