Marielle
Ferreira Silva
Marielle Ferreira Silva is a PhD candidate at the University of Luxembourg focusing on recycling and reuse in architecture. Her thesis is part of the interdisciplinary project "Eco-Construction for Sustainable Development" (ECON4SD) co-financed by the European Union.
She has done graduate studies in Architecture and Urbanism and holds a Master in Sciences of Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Ouro Preto in Brazil. She completed a research internship at the University of Luxembourg entitled "Post-occupancy assessment of residential buildings in Luxembourg with centralized and decentralized ventilation systems, focusing on indoor air quality (IAQ)" in partnership with SNHBM (Société Nationale des Habitations à Bon Marché). From 2016 to 2017 she lectured at Pitágoras Faculty (Kroton Educacional) a course on indoor comfort (thermal, acoustic and luminous), foundations of architectural drawing, and interior design.
