Dr. Sabrina Göbel works as postdoctoral researcher in the project "Social Work Labour Market in Luxembourg (SLAM)” situated in the in the Institute for Social Research and Interventions at the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Education (FHSE) of the University of Luxembourg.

After completing the Educational Science program at the University of Trier, Sabrina Göbel was employed at the University of Kassel from 2011 to 2014 and worked as research associate in the BMBF-financed project "Knowledge-based and Interpretational Skills of Pedagogical Staff in Childcare Facilities".
From 2014-2017 she was in the doctoral program "Pedagogy of Early Childhood" from the Ev. Fröbelseminar Kassel and the University of Kassel and also member of the junior research group "Empiricism of Childhood". During this time she worked towards achieving her doctorate degree, producing a video-ethnographic study focusing on daily practices and routines in childcare facilities.

From 2017-2018, she worked at the University of Luxembourg as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Luxembourg on the FNR-financed research project "Young People’s Transitions out of Residential and Foster Care (TransCare)" situated in the Institute for Research and Innovation in Social Work, Social Pedagogy and Social Welfare.

From 2019-Feb. 2021, she was employed as postdoctoral researcher at Trier University in the BMBF-financed project "Strong Partnerships in Early Childhood Education and Care: The interplay between organisations, practices and actors as a foundation for inequality-sensitive quality development (PARTNER)".
