Svenja is a doctoral researcher at the University of Luxembourg since October 2018, where she, next to writing her thesis, works in the ORBIT project. She has earned her Masters in Communication Sciences at the University of Duisburg-Essen (Germany). For three years, next to her Bachelor and Master studies, she has been working in several research projects on observing human-human, human-robot and human-agent interaction from a participant's perspective.

For her thesis, she is examining the organisation of interaction space in multi-party configurations in the context of human-computer interaction and uses Multimodal Interaction Analysis and Conversation Analysis to examine fine-grained interactional phenomena on the basis of audio-visual recordings.
