Connor

Ulla Connor is currently PhD student at the University of Luxembourg and research assistant at the cross-border network UniGR-Center for Border Studies. In her research, she investigates from a sociological perspective the social construction of borders in the empirical field of political cross-border cooperation. Her approach combines sociological theories of practices with recent tendencies in border studies aiming for a praxeology of borders.

Ulla Connor is sociologist; she studied Sociology, Political Science, Philosophy, Anthropology and Ethnology at the Technical University of Darmstadt (Germany) and the Université de Toulouse (France). After her studies, she worked as a teaching assistant for social theory at the University of Marburg (Germany). She is member of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Soziologie and the research group “Cultural Border Studies” of the Kulturwissenschaftliche Gesellschaft.
